Recommendation for tax payment by transfer account

We recommend paying tax by transfer account , which is conveniently used by many people, for the payment or estimated prepayment of income tax, and payment or interim payment of consumption tax in the case of sole business proprietors. (Note 1)
Tax payment by transfer account is a system where tax payment is automatically made from the designated financial institution account, similar to automatic transfer of utility payments such as electricity and gas bills. (Note 2)
Although the procedure for requesting tax payment by transfer account is required for each tax item, once the procedure is carried out, tax payment for that item will be made by transfer account going forward. It is an extremely convenient system as you do not need to visit a financial institution to pay tax.
Please note that if the tax payment by transfer account is delayed due to a lack of funds in your account, you will be subject to delinquent tax imposed on a daily basis, starting from the day after the statutory due date. Those who use tax payment by bank transfer are advised to check that they have sufficient amount in their account in advance.
If you wish to use the tax payment by transfer account, please fill out your address, name, name of the financial institution, name of savings account and other necessary information in the request form for tax payment by transfer account. Affix the same seal used in your bank passbook (Note 3), and submit it to your nearest Tax Office or financial institution.
The request form for tax payment by transfer account is available at your nearest Tax Office and it can be also downloaded from the National Tax Agency website.
